My Background
My name is Rachael. I am a very upbeat teacher who loves to teach children about God & challenge them beyond their current abilities.I graduated with my Elementary Education degree in 2005 from Baptist Bible College of PA. I taught Kindergarten for 1 year & First Grade for 3 years at a local christian school.
In my first year of college, I discovered my passion for American Sign Language. I took a beginner's college course. When I transferred colleges, I started my own personal study of ASL! When I started my teaching career, I found that ASL was SOOO useful in the classroom. It soon became part of my curriculum & classroom management!
Currently I am staying home with my daugther, which is one of the greatest teaching jobs of all time :) I have enjoyed making Christ & ASL a part of my everyday family life!
My Passions
I have several passions that are naturally a part of who I am!I am passionate about my FAITH in Jesus Christ. He has made me the person I am---inside & out! I am so grateful for His guiding & leading in my life!
I am very passionate about my FAMILY. They allow me to be who I am & I love investing my time with them. There is no greater calling that to be a wife & mother!
TEACHING is definitely a big part of who I am. I find such fulfillment in creating curriculum & stretching a student beyond their current abilities!
CRAFTS & CREATIVITY penetrate all areas of my life...from making hair bows on my website Leona's Lovely Bows n' Things, sewing, some graphic design to making teaching materials.
